Richard Hoffman
The Subversive Post Office is a creation by British artist RichHARD HoffMAN. The series explores the journey of being a human, exploring the unthinkable, hand painting his way through mint genuine stamps, thus transforming them into tiny works of subversive art.
A stamp is the payment for journey, yet has so many references and history. He embraces popular culture to use as a medium to provoke questions in his work. RichHARD prefers to leave out the answers like ripping out the last page in a novel to aid longevity but simply hint and make suggestions.
Originally from the Cronx- London; he was trained at Central Saint Martins, and now primarily works from his studio in Barcelona, travelling to the UK and US for events.
